1hr time lapse of sunspot region, 30th of August

Post by AJamesB »

Seeing was mostly poor, but I haven't done a timelapse in some time and was feeling the itch, plus I'd seen lots of good images and time lapses of this region and it seemed quite active, and there was finally a cloudless sky today, so decided to give it a go just for fun. Some visible 'burping', and some little fluffys moving around. A touch of activity in the prominences as well. GIF is forward playing only.

Wonderful!! so smooth too, I initially thought they were pictured then it winked at me and I was taken by surprise. I don't know how you get it so perfect with no flicker :bow :bow :bow

Excellent animation...and smooth with no burps. About how long real time duration was this? I've done animations of night time astronomy....hmmm....may have to give this a try on the sun.
