SDO is currently showing a new AR at the N.E.Limb with one spot and in the S.Central region - one small spot developing.

There is certainly a single spot with surrounding detail following on behind the very complex AR12860.
Those marks I saw on the eastern limb, this morning, were mere smudges.
I don't have images to share. The seeing was awful!
Back to the: I can't focus properly to save myself syndrome.

Oh dear, Chris c/w you "Rubber-band" scenario. Can you not flick the bad-seeing away with another rubber-band ??

The attached SDO image shows what you were unable to see, so save you some time too.. :hamster:

Best Wishes

Thanks Eric and you are not alone. A week of solid cloud-cover expected to end around the weekend here.

Thanks Marios and you are welcome.

CLEAR SKIES please for everyone.

Thanks for the update Terry. I have been under clouds today but did get one quick view through thin clouds with the Lunt 8x32 SUNoculars. The only thing I could see on the disc is the spot group of AR12860 in the southwest.

Hi James, sorry to hear that your weather is the same as our in S.E.England, but in any case, that spot has now disappeared within that AR.

But (and there's gotta be a but) two more AR's are visi-bubble to those that have or will have clear skies...
Shown in a new post...

Cheers
Terry

Terry,
The spot group in AR12860 is still there but is very near the SW limb. The tropical system now has passed and tomorrow's skies are forecast to be sunny. I wish you sunny skies as well.

James
