02.09.21 Sun in Lunt50: the first light of the mod
Hello everybody,
This is the first light of my mod. Recently, I finally decided to put it together. Thanks a lot to Vladimir (csve) and Filip (Great attractor) without you guys, I couldn't have done it.
The modification represents the William optics telescope, model Megrez90 and etalon + BF from Lunt50.
The weather is bad, and the visibility is terrible so there was simply no time for correct orientation and framing, sorry.
I will be very glad for your advice and criticism.
Ivan

Very good results. The resolution is fine, and the image is nicely uniform. Maybe the etalon was just a bit off-band (esp. the second image looks as if it could be a little more "furry"); or maybe it was just due to sky conditions.

Hi Filip, thanks again for your help. The photo shows different visibility conditions, today everything has changed very much, strong wind, oncoming clouds. And the processing is also different everywhere, somewhere there is more contrast, somewhere less.GreatAttractor wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 1:44 pm Very good results. Forgot to say this was shot with a Barlow × 2 lens.

Nice setup with the Megrez Ivan.
Images are excellent.
Try a shade more contrast to the surface images and see if you approve ??
Thanks for sharing

Re: 02.09.21 Sun in Lunt50: the first light of the mod
Thanks Terry, I will definitely try. It also seems to me that they are of low contrast. But this is my first experience.EGRAY_OBSERVATORY wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 6:34 pm Nice setup with the Megrez Ivan.

Nice captures with a new setup, Ivan! H-alpha and prominences are quite good. Good luck in the hunt for new images!

Re: 02.09.21 Sun in Lunt50: the first light of the mod
On Leo's advice, I did a little work with HDR. The first image is completely processed by him, the second I tried to process myself and added colors. Thanks Leo! Obviously, a different scale requires a different approach and I am still learning. After processing, it seemed to me that the image size should be reduced by a third or so to get rid of noise and artifacts.
I will be glad to criticism, thank you.

Re: 02.09.21 Sun in Lunt50: the first light of the mod
Nice job on the mod and excellent first light. It usually takes a few sessions to really get to know your scope and how to tweak to optimise performance…..and get luckier with the sky conditions.

Hi Alex, thanks. This is a loggia, and unfortunately it has rather narrow flaps, so the Sun goes away quickly and I have to rearrange the installation.
