Solar refractor 228mm in action in HR
Hi all
Yesterday sun gave a great show. Finally there is a lot of sunspots so a lot of fun for my solar refractor, execially in hires.
Here are some image took at 0,08 arcsec/pixel (white light) and at 0,12arcsec/pixel (calcium h-line)
White Light: Baader Planetarium Herschel Wedge cool ceramic 2" + Filter Coontinuum + Barlow TeleVue Powermate 4X 2" (full aperture)
Calcium H-Line: Daystar Quark Calcium H-Line + Barlow APM 2,7X (150 mm aperture)
Camera ASI290MM
Best regards
Alessandro

Re: Solar refractor 228mm in action in HR
Hi Alexandros,
I'm in a small village in the South side of Sardinia Island, near the city of Cagliari (Italy) at about only 200 mt above the sea level.
The seeing medium level during daytime i variable (it isn't bad but it isn't very good) You have to waiting for the right time to click the play for regording your video.
Yes, I'm still selling the ota but at new price after new polishing and recoating works on lens.

With your experience all this time, were the first hours of the day or the last ones that gave you most of these precious moments that were right for start recording?
Best wishes,
Alexandros
