Sun September 7th
A hot sunny day here and this morning, early on, the seeing was pretty good but degrading rapidly. I decided to set up the 150mm/DS Lunt35 mod and focus on the main active regions.
Here they are imaged using a Basler acA1920-155um and a 2.5x Powermate. I felt confident enough to run a few through a 5x PM with mixed results.
Usual workflow:
Genika Astro image capture
AS!3 stacking
ImPPG deconvolution/sharpening
Refining in PixInsight.

Here's AR2866 with the 5X PM. Not ideal, but worth a try.

...and it's close partner AR2868....

AR2864 with a trio of light bridges, probably indicating this one is about to decay.

Finally AR2863

Tomorrow is also supposed to be a nice day, so fingers crossed.
Thanks for looking.
Stu.

Nicely done Stu. Usually I'm partial to greyscale but today it's the color for some reason. Super closeups as well.
Thanks

It is always a pleasure to see your 150mm/DS LS35 images, Stu! very nice, as always.
Nice to see the sun activity grow.

Stu,
All are superb but I am biased on the one with the brilliant red=orange color. It just " pops "!!

Re: Sun September 7th
I'm the same, I'm a sucker for colorized versions. I know its not scientifically accurate, but I love the emotion it injects into the images:)DeepSolar64 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 4:26 am Stu,
