11 Sep HA images with a C11 and Borg 76 from Singapore (latest added 14 Sep)
We had lots of rain recently and more rain is expected in the next 2 months. Today (11 Sep 21), I finally caught some sun
Photographed sunspots AR2866 and AR2868 with a 11" SCT fitted with ARIES D-ERF and a H-Alpha Daystar Quark chromosphere.
Weather has been atrocious and I was glad to have caught something.
Make a right click to see the image in its full resolution.
Cheers.

Re: 11 Sep Sunspots in HA with a C11 from Singapore
12 Sep 21. We have tons of clouds and some windows for imaging. Today, I did some full disk HA images. The gigantic proms is holding well.
The image was taken with a Borg 76mm refractor fitted with DS Solarscope SF50 etalons.
Enjoy!

Very impressive images Alfred
That prom was amazing all I got was a ten minuet view through clouds but stunning.
Like Alessandro I had a little play as your images are so good, I put both full disks together then colorized it, just such a wonderful image.
Lets hope for more of this in this solar cycle.
Cheers Rod

Hi Alfred
With pleasure
Although I prefer grayscale images, I can see more detail in them, I am practicing colourising as others prefer colourised images.
I did this with your image because it is so full of data that I cannot get at the moment because of bad weather.
Fantastic Borg setup.
Cheers Rod

I like the colourised image. Thanks. I prefer grayscale images for the same reason. The Borg 76 with DS SF50 is my workhorse for full disk imaging.

Hi Alfred,
That's a great prom capture and I now understand that it did produce a CME, so well done.

A superb Ha disk, Alfred. Congratulations on the very well deserved SPOD ! That image should be in a science publication.

Re: 11 Sep HA images with a C11 and Borg 76 from Singapore
From the same batch of photos captured on 11 Sep:
a closer look at AR2866
AR2868:
This C11 setup is capable of better images. I am happy to have these, given the weather condition.
For good measure, I also used a ASI174MC to capture this full disk, just to see the shade of red from a colour CMOS camera.
Compared to the ASI174MM camera, the loss in resolution is quite obvious.
Enjoy.
