Magnificent prominence September 11, 2021

Post by ffellah »

Hello all: this morning was beautiful with good seeing on top ! A very wide and large prominence was giving a great show and I had to capture it. Still working on images of the AR's, hope to post later on...

"The Jumping Cat" prom is fabulously captured by you Franco and thanks for sharing.
This may well be the same prom that has grown even larger later on the 11th, which hi-res image I'll post shortly from SDO..

Thanks for sharing

Thank you Stu, Warren, Fed, James and Terry. It was a WOW prom to capture, and Warren got a terrific animation out of it. I processed a couple of images of the AR's and other features.

You are welcome Franco. I rotated and edited your already nice image using the iPhone’s built in editor. What do you think? It looks really nice on the phone having more contrast and being brighter than your original. But I don’t know how it will look on a computer monitor. I hope you didn’t mind.

James

Well Franco, I think you have probably captured the "Jumping Cat" image of the year (and we are only 3/4 way through it yet) !!!

Now seeing as James has shown the cat jumping down from the side, can I borrow the capture for my local cat's refuge (non-commercial, rather is a local charity), as it would make a good outside sign. Could easily add your name to the bottom left corner ??
