Hi Ivan,
This is a few years old now and the DMK41 camera is no longer used, but it gives you an idea of how the scope looks.
Thanks for your comments.

Stu,
Very nice images. Those active regions are almost gone.
That's a nice refractor. What make is it? It's an F8 I presume?

Good results with the mod Stu! The telescopic feature on the legs of my EQ6 tripod have been jammed shut for a couple of years now.

The scope is a home build. It’s an f10 objective, but with the internal Barlow and Lunt 35 refocusing lens the scope ends up at around f14 native.

Re: Solar Limb in Ha 14th Sept 2021
Hi, Stu
These are my favourite kind of limb shots, with lots of activity, beautifully imaged.
I know that many trials were necessary before you refined your double stack system but it sure looks like you have
a winner.
I'm going through something similar now with a PST/Quark Combo DS which, although not always cooperative, can be nudged into performing well once you find the right ROI and PST tilt.
I'm going to revisit a PST/PST DS. I have the adapters necessary and have tried before but I didn't follow through
as much as I should have. It would be great to have a DS system that doesn't have a heating component.

Re: Solar Limb in Ha 14th Sept 2021
Beautiful images Stu.
There's an effortless subtlety and realism to the fine detail.
None of the overemphasis in relief which dogs my own limb images.
You enjoy very even results across the entire frame.
Thanks for sharing your successful mods and superb images.

Did you grind and figure the lens elements yourself? Few people can do this.

Ha ha....no..no, James. The objective is an iStar Optical 150mm f10 APO. I drew the line at making the metallic OTA.DeepSolar64 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 16, 2021 4:58 amCarbon60 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 7:03 amHi James,DeepSolar64 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 6:27 pm Stu,
