Sun in H-Alpha 8th of September 2021 - High-res stills and time-lapse of AR2866 & 2868

Post by arnedanielsen »

Dear friends,

I've finally had the time to process some high-res images of AR2866 & 2868 from September 8th.

FD image in H-Alpha using an Explore Scientific AR152, 2" Baader 35nm H-Alpha as ERF, Quark Chromosphere and ASI 174mm mounted on a SkyWatcher AZ EQ6 Pro.

Time-lapse animation from 217 recordings each consisting of 500 frames forced to a framerate of 25fps and a cadence of one recording per 30 seconds. The best 100 from each recording was then stacked in AutoStakkert!3, aligned, sharpened and normalized in ImPPG before creating the resulting animation in PIPP with 12 fps effectively compressing the 1h 48m 30s down to 17 seconds.
The file is rather big (134MB) so please allow some time for it to load.
