Big metallic bird transiting the sun ;-)

Post by H-Alpha »

Hi all,

I had some time to prepare this animation from the 13th Sep 2021.

It is always a huge surprise to see something big transiting the sun disk, and this time the metallic bird was really BIG for me...

Pedro, if you happen to see this post, do you know what type or airplane this is? Do you have a method to recognize them or is it just your long experience? :-)

Enjoy! :-)

Best wishes,
Alexandros

An Airbus 319/320/321 or Boeing 737 series are the likely contender for this transiting aircraft Alexandros. The are quite-similar in appearance.

Excellent animation.

ooh! I wouldn't want to be on that nose diving plane  I love it though, they always make me smile.

We use the App 'Plane Finder' on the iPhone, it shows you what plane is going over, make model and where it is going to and from.

Try https://global.adsbexchange.com as it shows all aircraft of any type that are transponding/squawking in numerous countries too...

No login and free and can set your home area to return to that each time automatically.

Out of the numerous I have been using, including my own ADSB set-up (non-internet), is superior to have been used over many years.

Great jet transit Alexandros

I usually ask a friend to identify the plains (I have nota capture a jet transit in more than a year)

It looks like a boeing 737

Thanks a lot Pedro!

I asked you because I have seen a photo composition of yours with many crossings and many types of planes and saw you in one of your e-presentations, showing tens of airplanes.

By seeing all your photos, thought that it occurs to you once every two weeks..., but it is just the many years of you behind the scopes. ;-)
I wish you to have a new nice one pretty soon again.

It looks I am very lucky with two good ones in just three months! :-)

Best wishes,
Alexandros
