Prominences from the 18th of September 2021.

Post by eroel »

Hi:
Went to the rural observatory and rained all weekend, though I just had the chance to take 2 full HR image with the 6" f/12 AP refractor and an old ATM Daystar Ha filter working at f/28.
It was hard to try to keep the recordings at aproximately the same ilumination because of the clouds passing by.
Thanks for looking at rather strange images.
Regards to all.
Eric.

Beautiful proms, Eric. Pity the weather didn’t help with your imaging session.

Excellent prom captures, Eric. Great detail is showing. What type/brand is the 6" AP refractor ?

Ivan and Franco, thank you for looking and commenting.
Franco, it is the AstroPhysics "Superplanetary" 6" f/12 triplet refractor, it was a unique series with a NASA Flint element, a beautifully color corrected objective, just few were made with that NASA glass.
Best regards,
Eric.
