Dear friends,
Yesterdays weather forecast said it would be nice and sunny all day. My plan was therefore to start out with the usual FD images in H-Alpha and CaK and then put the H-Alpha setup on an equatorial mount and let it run continuously for the whole day for a nice long FD time-lapse. Unfortunately there were some thin cirrus clouds from time to time and a period of about 45min where I just had to cancel the recording. Thus, instead of one long time-lapse I will at best have to time-lapses sequences. I haven't had the time to process the time-lapse data yet, but will post it here if it turns out ok.
In the meantime, here are the stills from yesterday.
FD image in H-Alpha using a Coronado 60mm/BF15 w/Beloptik ITF, stopped down to 50mm, Baader 35nm H-Alpha and ASI 178mm mounted on a SkyWatcher SolarQuest.
