For a change, the web-link to the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) - Hi-Resolution imagery from that satellite is :- https://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/assets/img/la ... 6_HMII.jpg
which is primarily where I get the necessary imaging to see what is occurring as near to "LIVE" as possible...(other than viewing through a scope)
https://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/assets/img/la ... 6_0304.jpg shows the latest Hi-Resolution Prominence activity...
Tapping the screen brings close-up's where this evening of the 26th September, you can see several areas where either spots or other surface details..
Some are numbered elsewhere as expected, whereas there are several others that are not yet numbered at datum.
For anyone that doesn't yet know, this web-link taking you directly to the latest and very up-to-date images is just a part of the :-https://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/
web-sites' Home Page, where all the various lines of light-images are constantly being taken from their satellite and are quickly-published.
Please note, that the Highest-Resolution images are usually in the region of around 4-Mbytes each and are not posted as a whole image on SolarChat, rather are cropped around the areas of interest, to save unnecessary memory at the server...!!!
Enjoy
Terry

Thank you Marios and Alexandra and yes there was a little rain for a short while here today, but all the outside wood-work was completed just in time outside for the new mini-obsy..
There is a single spot at the N.E.Limb and will look at that again in a few hours..
