ARs and filament from Sept 27

Post by gabrieli »

The sky was predicted to be cloudy but there was clearing albeit with hazy clouds. I concentrated on active regions
and an intriguing filament for this session before the haze gave the view a washed out appearance. It was a great improvement over the previous day when I practiced setting up and putting things away and little else.

Lou

The set up used was comprised of:

180mm ERF on a 180mm Mak + 6nm Halpha filter from Astronomik + Quark Combo + tilter + either a ASI290 or Blackfly 3.2 Mp
This gave the Quark an f15 beam at 2700mm.

Excellent shots (uninverted)!

Your Quark crying for a F/40 ratio. Give what it need and the results will impress you even more.
And don't forget the 0.5x reducer after Quark.

Superb images! the filament looks like a strange insect :bow :hamster: you made me chuckle when you described the previous day practice setting up and packing away. I have had so many of these practices :)
