a sun close to the horizon at my place around 15:40 UT at the fs60 with its sm40 double stack, BF10, glasspath x1.7 and zwo178mm.

Stephane,
That's the beauty of smaller apertures. They don't show the effects of seeing as much as larger apertures do and this matters when viewing/imaging the sun at a low elevation in the sky.

Super to get a quick glimpse even if the Sun is low, there are lots of lovely ARs on the disc at the moment :bow :hamster:
