To AR2882 which will obviously leave us in the next 24+hours, but is one of the rare AR's that has remained constant with its' big dark spot over the whole journey across our visible-side of the FD for the last many days.
Giving us both flares and CME's during its' time with us, at least it is departing to the N.W. with a companion of the newer AR2885.
So will it return as is Well of course nobody anywhere can possibly answer that for certain, but I have a suspicion that it might return to the N.E.Limb in around two weeks time and whatever-configuration, but that is (as we know) a long-time for any AR to remain "as-is"..
So waving goodbye to "82" - I leave you to peruse the latest SDO Hi-Resolution capture from their satellite, showing so well the structure and the out-lying spots too...
CLEAR SKIES
Terry

When 2882 slips over the edge, there is nothing yet to replace it, as of 07:00z on Friday...

Many thanks Maurits and James.
Unfortunately today, I have been advised of two more departed friends (human this time), so a bit of a strange day for me.
Both public-servants too, so will be sadly missed...
