Dear friends,

Todays FD images of the Sun in H-Alpha and CaK.

FD image in H-Alpha using a Coronado 60mm/BF15 w/Beloptik ITF, stopped down to 50mm, Baader 35nm H-Alpha and ASI 178mm mounted on a SkyWatcher SolarQuest.

You caught that low Norway sun quite well! Looks good! I love the blackened out disc with the detached proms in the SW!!

Looks like no Sun today or tomorrow :-( Maybe on Tuesday perhaps.

James:
The low solar altitude is really starting to make things challenging. Maximum solar altitude is only 19 degrees at the moment.

That's a nice schematic Arne, where did you get that from? I wouldn't mind doing one for my location. I'm at 53N and I think the altitude gets to 12-15 degrees or so (not sure).
