Oct 26 2021 - I missed the big M class

Post by Simon2940 »

I missed the M Class by 30mins, by the time the scope was aligned and pointing, it had died down.

Multi panel mosaic to create a fun disc!

You haven't missed too much judging by all the proms and surface detail you have so well captured.

Thanks vm

Great FD image, and your mosaics are very even and smooth. Nice work :bow

Nice work, Simon! I was set up and at the scope when the M class went off. It blew out quite a bit of ejecta and died down quite rapidly. I was hoping for some big post flare loops but saw only a low dome shaped one.

I am just now posting because I spent all available time before work at the scope.

Better late than never I guess.

James

Simon:
Superb full disc mosaic, clean crisp and even.
What setup did you use?
Best regards.
Eric.

I went with the 100mm f5.5 and a quark. I normally use the 150 but seeing was jittery.
