ANOTHER NEW - AR2889(1) WITH LRGE SPOTS - PM 26-10-2021

Post by EGRAY_OBSERVATORY »

The Sun is really revving-up for a very set of AR's and explosive action very likely too... :seesaw

The attached SDO images are showing that as we have seen from John W's SPOD image of today that the AR289(1) region is very explosive with a whole set of eruptions over the last hours and is still looking as if that will continue...

Also if only AR2887 would give us a decent CME - then our Mark T., could well savour some Aurora Lights up there in the North !! :o

CLEAR SKIES
Terry

Terry...

It will be nice if some new activity rounds the limb as it is to be clear here the next few days...maybe I'm being selfish ;)

No Brian, that is not selfishness - rather just hopeful and helpful for you to get some of your excellent images and even for us to see...

Thanks Maurits and the latest is that the newbie has been (apparently) numbered AR2891 and is known to be exceptionally-active with all sorts of flares and CME's too, so it will be interesting to follow..

Hi Terry,

I was looking forward to follow up on AR 2887 and the new spots going on show. Unfortunately we had rain today :(
