Wildest event(s) you have captured on the sun
Seeing Alexandra's comment on James observations on missing the X1 Flare this week and hoping to capture something like that, I thought about the 3 most exciting moments I have captured in 9 years of imaging the sun. Thought it would be interesting to see what other wild events folks have captured over the years. Here are my 3 memorable moments: (they take a bit of time to load up)

Those are great Filip! So awesome to catch the flares when they occur! James, they are cool, these were already in action when I first set up the scope and I couldn’t believe my eyes!
Thanks Terry!

Re: Wildest event(s) you have captured on the sun
My unusual event was a recent cruciform filament, posted back on Sept 13/21, likely 2 crossing filaments as I doubt this kind of structure could be supported for long in a dynamic environment. Although there is a hexagonal structure on one of Saturn's poles.

Re: Wildest event(s) you have captured on the sun
Hi Warren: this is back few years, captured one afternoon with the Solarmax90. I could not stop smiling after capturing this image. I though I finally saw the unicorn. Many members of the group captured the event and a few made beautiful animations. Never saw another one after that.

Warren, Filip, Lou, Franco - these are great shots.
This is a lot of luck and skill, for the sake of such moments we all love our hobby.
By the way, (if I haven't missed anything) this looks like a theme for the November challenge.

Re: Wildest event(s) you have captured on the sun
Hi,
11.5 years ago on March 13th 2010, the Sun gave me a birthday present.
All happened in 1 hour. Calculated length of the prominence about 375.000 km

Re: Wildest event(s) you have captured on the sun
My "wildest event" is when I came close to capturing a complete rotation back in 2016:
https://youtu.be/eQfDEoXPseg
Here, I tried to image the Sun everyday at lunchtime in the Hydrogen-alpha wavelength. The goal was to capture 27 consecutive days of images which is the approximate amount of time it takes for the Sun to make one rotation. Unfortunately, the clouds rolled in near the end and cut the sequence down to 22 days. On the plus side, I was able to capture a solar flare explosion on day 3, 15th of July.
Better luck next time.

Re: Wildest event(s) you have captured on the sun
Capture via eyeball but not camera imaged: a filament almost a half the diameter of the Sun suddenly disappeared and formed a rare Hyder Flare: "A filament-associated two-ribbon flare, often occurring in spotless regions. The flare is generally slow (30-60 minutes rise time in Ha and x-ray) and follows the disappearance of a previously quiescent filament."
A delicate tail-shaped surge prominence which came and went back to its starting region like sticking out your tongue within 10 minutes:
Detailed development of a flare captured from the very first moment via underexposure. I will have to try this technique again for cycle 25. Less than one minute between exposures:
