Sun on 15th, Nov, 2021, ES127+Quark+Apollo-M MAX cam
oday's Sun. A clear day for solar imaging.Still use ES127CF F7.5 APO and Daystar Quark, and Player One Astronomy Apollo-M MAX (IMX432) for chromosphere imaging.
In fair seeing condition, 9um pixel size is much easier to get sharp details under F32 ratio.
All images use normal pattern to show up the surface.
Exposure 7-8ms, gain 150, 2000 frames, 30% stacked.
Normal pattern:

Nice images with the Quark Chromosphere
Do you use flats to obtain your Quark images?

That's a nice run of images! I would consider using a full size DERF longer term with a 5" scope and a Quark...

Yes, I took 2000frames flat and made a master flat for thoes chromosphere image. But for Prominence, no flat will be better.

ERF is better option, I just use a UV IR-cut filter in front of quark. I think it's not very good in summer, to much heat will on quark.marktownley wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 6:15 am That's a nice run of images! I would consider using a full size DERF longer term with a 5" scope and a Quark...

Thanks a lot, Maurits. Still got a lot need to learn in post-processing.

Thanks, Franco. I see someone use imppg for post-processing, and looks quite well. I will try that next time.
