Sun FD in H-Alpha and CaK 21st of November 2021
Dear friends,
Today's FD images in H-Alpha and CaK taken at a solar altitude of 10 degrees.
FD image in H-Alpha using a Coronado 60mm/BF15 w/Beloptik ITF, stopped down to 50mm, Baader 35nm H-Alpha and ASI 178mm mounted on a SkyWatcher SolarQuest. Sun FD in H-Alpha 21st of November 2021
Sun FD in H-Alpha 21st of November 2021 - Colorized
Same setup as above, but using long exposure (15ms) to bring out the proms. Overexposed disc made black. Sun FD in H-Alpha 21st of November 2021 - Prominence
FD image in CaK using a William Optics ZenithStar 61II, stopped down to 46mm, Lunt CaK 1200 module, Coronado 2x CeMax and ASI 183mm camera mounted on a SkyWatcher SolarQuest. Sun FD in CaK 21st of November 2021

These are very evenly illuminated discs and you did a wonderful job in getting both disc and prom details in the Ha images. The monochrome " ring of fire " looks great too!

Nice picture Arne, I have a question, in CaK band, what exactly we are watching, for me it look like a flat Chomosphere image.
