NEW - AR2898 IS NOW ADDED TO THE SUN @ 24-11-2021
The new AR as "2898" shows to have been added to a very-small single spot in the South-Central region, but I suspect this should have been added to the S.E. complex of spots.
Thanks for reading
Terry
Also noting the Active Region in the far N.E. which as yet is not showing any spots. Thanks for reading

Correction:- the Grey FD from SDO is wrongly added here and todays image is now added...
Apologies for any confusion... (perhaps Alexandra can remove 8-9-2021 0842Z SODIUM AR2868,2863, +1.jpg (27.82 KiB) Viewed 1 time)

Some nice little areas, they look quite complex so hopefully they may grow

Many thanks Alexandra for removing the "mistook" image (which itself is now removed from my Desktop too)
Yes indeed the S.E. complex is currently looking positive for some decent action..
Cheers

Thanks vm Maurits for looking and James from the other-side too..
Spaceweather-LIVE is now showing:-
Region/spots/Class
AR2896 /1 / AXX
AR2897 /1 / AXX
AR2898 /7 / CRO
============== so that confirms that the S.E. AR with the complex of spots is in fact AR2898 and their location as the S.Central is a "mistook"
(That makes two "mistooks" for today's report), so hey, it happens...

Thanks vm Jacinto.
It seems that the newbie as AR2898 could well be flaring, so watch that space...

Hi
Clear this morning so had a go with the 90mm and 4.2x Chromo.
Nice proms. I could see a bright area nearer to the limb from the group of dark spots.
They are converting another bungalow into a large house S of me, later start, and a builder asked the other day if I was observing solar storms.
So I invited him over once set up and he enjoyed his first look in H-alpha. Does binocular observing he said.
Cheers. Andrew.

Hopefully the large development does block your Solar view Andrew..

Hi
Its only a small intrusion about 6 bungalows away. Sticking out a few metres.
All the plots after my house were bungalows in a row pointing south. Creeping up conversions from the bottom, second one.
First one has a dormer.
I look over back gardens to the south, there is a concrete garage in one before the new conersion.
After that a quarry wall with a field next to me and the old quarrymans house by the wall in a field sized garden.
When some trees west of me are cut down, I am told, I will have a full 90 degree view south to west.
Things go down hill, literally, when a big stone church swings into view and then the town centre.
Very lucky really.
Cheers. Andrew.

Re: NEW - AR2898 IS NOW ADDED TO THE SUN @ 24-11-2021
Thanks for the visual descriptions from your observing-site Andrew and hope that you can continue as-is without interference.
I have experienced over the last year, that a neighbour planted some sort of silly-tree that has quickly grown to forty-feet and exactly in my southern-view.
Although it is quite-thin at present, that would likely change over the next years.
Oh well, it has cost me a bit on installing the new Mini-obsy elsewhere in my large-garden where the southern-view is less obstructed...
Thanks Eric and you also have a good weekend, with much more on the disk to see/image too.
Here, high/very-high winds are expected and even the possibility of snow too...
