Sol from the 25th of November 2021.

Post by eroel »

Hi:
Got some images, seeing jumpy and sky hazy and cloudy, so just had a quick chance to image.
Thanks for looking.
Wish you all a nice and sunny weekend.
Eric.

Terry and Ivan:
Thanks for the feedback, as for the seeing, well here is the SSM graph of the 25th, normally when sunny and mostly clear, the input shows 0.8, so as you can see it was lower and the seeing with interruptions due to clouds passing by and jumpy.
Have a nice weekend too.
Eric.

Thanks for that description and the image Eric.

Here in much of the U.K. and particularly my region in the S.E., any scopes outside or not tied down will likely be jumping around, due to the high/very-high winds forecasted. Then even covered in snow is a possibility..

Cheers
Terry

Stu, James and Terry:
Thanks for commenting.
As for jumping seeing, I mean that the seeing is changing continuosly with no steady repeating periods.
My home observatory is on the roof and I have the 4 scopes mounted on a sturdy permanent steel pier, but cars and trucks passing in front of my house, make my setup vibrate a bit, so I have to take that in account also when imaging.
Best wishes for you all.
Eric.

Eric, with the observatory not on the ground floor on a concrete pad you must have one sturdy house to mount that steel pier in!!
