Solar Activity 26Nov.2021
Seeing was horrendous today. I took everyone's advice about moving the Ha around on the ASI183mm's chip to get a more illuminated field. It went a little better this time but, I guess the seeing combined with my processing skills could only yield but so much:

Prominence detail was so minute, I didn't bother with it. Maybe the CaK wavelength at the left of center is showing the beginnings of a new AR?

Re: Solar Activity 26Nov.2021
You did well on these Chris. I especially like the CaK image. I never could see the NE system at all visually today. Hopefully it does develop into a true active region.
What time did you image today? We live in the same state and time zone some 4-5 hours apart by interstate hwy.

James,
I don't have the FireCapture files in front of me, but I would say somewhere in the 11am hour, EST. Visually, white light was the most interesting.

Nice images Chris. I will say that I think you could get a bit better definition on the HA images as they appear nearly like the WL images with just a hint of the chromosphere so wondering if you have achieved the best tuning on your scope. That filament near the western limb should have more contrast even in a SS scope.

Re: Solar Activity 26Nov.2021
Thanks Chris for your excellent presentation.
The left AR is 2898, with the forming active region to the right/west as AR2900 on the 26th.
AR2899 is the departing one at the SW-Limb area.
Thanks for sharing
Terry

Re: Solar Activity 26Nov.2021
Warren,
For me, Ha tuning has always been hard to get consistent results. On this particular day, no matter how far in or out I adjusted the knob nothing really "popped" both visually or while recording. Could I be missing something?
