Belated Ca K image taken on Sept 7 with the TOA

Post by christian viladrich »

Dear All,

After a few weeks devoted to lunar and planetary astronomy, bad weather allows me to go back to solar astronomy and process solar images taken in Ca K on September 7.

There was quite a lot of activity on the solar disk. Unfortunately, the seeing was only average.

The solar disk :

The same image but with different levels of visualization to show the prominences :

AR2864 :

AR2864 about one hour later with the development of the light bridge :

AR2868 :

And the chaos of AR2866. Some low contrast fibrils are visible:

Clear skies !

Hi Christian: maybe a silly question. Are these images taken at full aperture ?

Congratulations on the superb SPOD...
