Heya,
It's been a while for me to have a scope on the sun for imaging; I've been visual the past few weeks which is a nice break from things. However, also due to my mount not powering on for a while. It's still acting up. No response from Orion for a few weeks, so who knows if it will get fixed. It may be time for a new mount. Sigh. Always something right? Seeing was terrible today. It did not support my image scale, so this is lower resolution and I couldn't even attempt anything in 540nm~393nm at all with this image scale. I was lucky the mount even powered on, so I took what I could. Lots of great activity on limb today near the two AR's that will leave our sight soon. I had hoped that the huge filament would have stayed put on the limb longer, but I was clouded out yesterday to even view it. Still, lovely quadrant to stare at if you have the sky for it. Seeing was somewhere jumping from 1.1 to 1.8 arc-seconds, so today was lucky imaging for sure, with spikes easily over 4 arc-seconds, a total smear. Totally clear sky but very cold with a high temp delta from morning to mid day, usually always has bad seeing for me on these type days with high pressure systems, despite the clear sky.

Marty,
I had wondered where you had been. I am glad you got to do some visual. You can tell in your images that the seeing was poor but still given the conditions they turned out ok.
I met all this with Orion acquiring Meade has slowed everything down. Hopefully they will get to you. Sorry about the mount.
Blessings,
James

Sorry to hear all about the mount woes, it is so frustrating when you never hear anything back at all, good luck
Super images though, even if the conditions were bad, I have been itching to see this southern region for the last week but I don't think that will happen now.

Good result there with the seeing Marty, my seeing is like that quite often this time of year...
