An impromptu setup at Home Hill State High School

Post by nqastronomy »

G'day All,

The new LUNT solar gear has arrived!

After waiting patiently(?) for five days for clouds to clear and doing a initial setup of it all at home, I decided to take one of the scopes (LS152) to my base school - Home Hill High.

Unfortunately pics of the students couldn't be taken without prior permission - but I'll tell you there would have been over 50 as they returned after their swimming class at the local pool, and about 20 others on their way to the next class once word spread around.

However I did take this short video of a few of the staff who saw me drive in.

Today (Friday) I'm taking one of the scopes to Ayr High for a quick lunch time setup - to give a quick promotion for the upcoming tour in June of Stephen and his entourage.

This tour by the way - IS COMPLETELY BOOKED OUT!!!!
