OK, so Im late with all this stuff but if your interested I had a fantastic time at NEAF, gave two lectures, ran scopes on Saturday and worked the inside booth on Sunday. I had the help of a couple of great Solarchat members and several people came up with kind words to say about our group. We really are making a difference in the astronomy world and I wish that all of you could come with me to see how well received we are among these vendors at the shows and the general public at large.
Im pretty sure its the fact that, unlike the other astronomy nonprofits out there, we actually do a lot more actual outreach than we do bragging about it, and we don't charge anyone for anything or ask any of the vendors for free stuff constantly. We have developed a great name in the business.
Anyway, thanks Bill Edelen, Eric Roel and Greg Williams for spending most of your weekend helping us do the show on your own time. It was greatly appreciated. I had a couple other people there too but they aren't on the forum.
I purchased a feathertouch focuser for the Skywatcher ESPRIT 150 with my personal funds, 2 Hutech solar guiders, another ESPRIT 120, and a Shelyak ALPY 600 for outreach use. Glad I took an extra suitcase! The new Lunt LS50 was awesome! the LS80 double was a little off, and the double stacked LS152 was the best view on the field by far.
As soon as I got back to Atlanta after a 4 hour departure delay from New York, I had 2 schools back to back the next 2 days so I am just getting around to posting these.
This is the 2nd internal etalon for the LS152
