International Astronomy Show 2014 - 7th / 8th June
CBSAP will be well and truly represented at the International Astronomy Show at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre here in the UK this weekend. Myself and Gary Palmer will be there on the CBSAP stand (stand 2) just by the main entrance, here we will be demonstrating Lunt products, and hopefully if it is sunny (it is thundering at the moment!) will be outside doing solar outreach with the Lunt equipment.
Richard Bailey will also be there on stand 47 (I think!), and have heard from several other forum and CBSAP members who will also be attending.
If you are going please take lots of pictures and post them here! If you aren't going but fancy coming along then please do so!
Look forward to meeting you all!

Bad timing on my part. I have other commitments this weekend, otherwise I would have come along. It would have been good to have met up with you and others.
Good luck and enjoy the day. I'll have to live it vicariously through the posted images that no doubt will follow.

Slowly working through some timelapses from the weekend. Here's one from the saturday morning when it was raining, so lots of solar chat was happening on the stand:

Re: International Astronomy Show 2014 - 7th / 8th June
Thanks Joe! There were 2 Quarks there, both ironically demonstrated on alt az mounts which, IMHO, were rubbish for demonstrating the high mag field of view of the quark. The views were stunning, I have to say, but they were demonstrated on a 4" APM scope with a 4" focuser. I thought I didn't want a quark but after seeing them at the show i'm not sure

Re: International Astronomy Show 2014 - 7th / 8th June
I have to say that I am guilty of not really spending time trying to find the best possible visual tune for my Quark other than one outreach in the park that I spent with Astrodan. I should spend some visual time with it prior to this Sunday in an effort to get the most out of it for others.
Pity they did not set it up on a tracking mount.
