Minor impact from a solar magnetic filament which launched a CME on July 30th.
I've compared my garden magnetometer data with Chambon la Foret and included a coronagraph of the CME event taken from Spaceweather.com in the image below. The degree of correlation appears to be pretty good. This is a slightly modified set-up with the tuned circuit now residing inside a thermos flask inside a 'cool box' to try to minimise the rate of change in temperature during the day. This has really improved the output, making it much more stable against ambient thermal fluctuations.
Thanks for looking.
Stu.

Many thanks for your comments, guys.
Thanks, Stephen, for raising the profile of magnetometry!
Much appreciated.

Fantastic work Stu and a well deserved SPOD too
After the thermos flask you need to install the automatic text alerts
