Greetings Everyone.
Here is a montage of some results from an SHG imaging session on 11Aug.
I hope the labeling is self explanatory. Lots of filaments visible in H3 and, with slightly less contrast, in H2r. There seems to be an unusual "filament like" feature which appears in emission rather than absorption. Not sure what this could be - maybe just an enhanced region in the network. The unusual image in the lower right hand corner is a difference image: H3 minus H2r. The difference between these two intrigues me and isn't all that obvious when you compare the individual images. It seems proms as well as some parts of the active regions are brighter in H3 . There is likely a combination of effects at work here: depth (H3 looks higher in the chromosphere than H2r) and velocity (H3 would be blue-shifted relative to H2r).
Cheers.
Peter.
