First of two incoming CMEs has arrived

Post by Carbon60 »

The first of two significant CMEs has arrived, as detected on my magnetometers and shown below. This is a minor G1 storm (Kp 5). The second (potentially more significant one from the famous X-class flare) remains en-route.

Aurora are predicted, even at mid-latitudes, but no one will know until the CME arrives how 'geoeffective' it will be. I'll keep you posted.
