Future developments for the digital SHG

In other threads the use and capabilities of the SHG has been raised.
I thought it would be beneficial to have a dedicated thread to address some of the concerns and future direction of the development of the SHG and associated software.
The time resolution issue I feel can/ could be addressed by the use of fast frame cameras to provide a full disk scan in around 4 secs. A processed, sharpened stack of a few of these exposures would improve the definition and SNR.
Remember the SHG can provide multiple images at various bandwidths - no sweet spot effects and if the spectrograph is pre calibrated in wavelength automatic CWL selection could be added......
Extraction and application of synthetic flats to the spectroheliogram is already a pretty mature technology and future enhancements will speed up the process.
There are software examples of direct SHG imaging which show this potential.
What are the other areas of concern/ improvement which should be considered??

very interesting,
I have the luck to have as a friend Fulvio Mete but, very lazily, do some look at his interesting projects.

I see this like the old Ham Radio SSTV (slow scan television) evolve in the current Ultra High Resolution system.

I'm already discussing the design issues of a 3D printed spectrograph with others.
Looking so very promising. The maximum element size is restricted to a 200mm cube.

High quality optical parts are the bottlenecks, they're much more difficult to find than other parts.

Wah!
Which parts concern you?
Achromatic lenses? Mirrors?
I though guys like Thorlabs and Edmund were a good source.....
Finding good adjustable long (>6mm) slit assemblies I find more of a problem.
