Fast flowing solar wind arrives

Post by Carbon60 »

Hi all,

Fast flowing solar wind from a coronal hole has arrived, sparking beautiful aurora and twitching magnetometers around the globe, including my own here in the north-west of England.

There's a second one following close behind, so further geomagnetic unrest and auroral activity is to be expected in the coming days.

Good luck, if you're in a good viewing location.

Thanks Alexandra. The next few days should be interesting, as yet another large coronal faces Earthward.
