Earth remains within fast flowing solar wind originating at two large coronal holes, creating further geomagnetic unrest. The wind has been ebbing and flowing over the past 9 days, flipping northwards and southwards, creating intermittent displays of the aurora. Hopefully something for Mark T to see in Iceland.
Thanks for looking.
Stu.

Re: Further geomagnetic unrest
Excellent Stuart, let's hope you spot something coming from this CME in the next day or so.

Re: Further geomagnetic unrest
Thanks Alexandra. We'll see if the CME has any measurable effect.

Re: Further geomagnetic unrest
You're seeing more action than me, nothing but cloud so far on a night. Frost forecast for the weekend so maybe that will increase my chances. I need to stay awake too - at the moment i'm sleeping for 10 hours straight, missing the brief darkness. If things do clear up i'll have to set an alarm I think.
