I've been collecting meteor radio data for just over a year now, using the GRAVES transmitter in France as my radio source (143,050 MHz). Meteor reflections are collected using a Software Defined Radio module plugged into my PC running 24/7 which is set up to detect the reflections as 2KHz pings . These are logged and plotted in Excel with processing to calculate the rolling average hourly rate.
Here's the full dataset with all the major meteor showers labelled:
Interestingly there are some unidentified peaks (see March, for example). Maybe these are minor dust streams unrelated to any known showers??
The unexpected peak in the Perseids this year is clear to see.
Not solar, but I hope you find this interesting.
Stu.

Wow!! nice data I was going to ask about the peak in March and the peak in between July and August be interesting if they appear in the same place next year.

Hi Stu,
Very nice graph but I am confused with the labeling of the month. Looking at the graph it looks like the Perseid meteor shower 2021 happened in July and not in August.
We Westerners are used to see the beginnings of the month from left to right. So should not the August label be 3 little separations to the left ?

I take your point.
I've reformatted to try to bring the label towards the centre of each month. I think it is pretty close. It's a challenge for excel with the way my data are arranged.

Hi Stu,
Thanks. I agree absolutely with you that sometimes this software packages just do what they want and the help is useless as most of the time the help is written by programmers
