As Walter said, interferences are very surface spacing dependent. Maybe try to tweak a bit the distance if you have some freedom there, but I guess you tried everything :)
I envy you being able to use a lathe !

I won't give up on it just yet, just haven't had clear skies for long enough to try exhaustive testing of the options, with all the adapters etc and the compressor itself it represents an outlay of several hundred euros which i'm not about to file away in my box of spares.

I wouldn't call myself an expert on the lathe, I want to learn how to turn threads on things, then the world of modding would really open up to me, at the moment it is just very basic stuff, turning down etc...

Bit of good news, borrowed a Teleskop Service tilt adapter off Mike, tilting it does work. Takes a while to get it just right, but the effort seems worth it, much more evenly illuminated field of view, particularly towards the edges, and also sharper in the corners than the el-cheapo reducer I have been using. Hope to get some pictures up before too long...

Hi Mark,

Just wondering, did you manage to get the tele compressor working with a Quark?

Hi Mark,

I was searching the internet for a reducer so that I can use with a quark and I came across this thread.

Did you manage to get the telecompressor fitted and working with quark?

Would it be possible to post a pic so that I can get an idea of what your set up looks like?

Thanks in advance,

Ps: I intend to use it with skywatcher 80ED + quark and with ASI174MM
