My second PST-Mod

Post by Solar-Cologne »

Hello,

Forthe second Stage i want to build a Mod with a bigger/better Refractor.
I tested an SW ED80, the older Type with golden Tube and a Phototele Leitz-Telyt 6,8/560 with 82,4mm Diameter.

The SW ED80 was very bad in H-Alpha, the Telyt with his kitted two Lens Achromat was the best 80mm H-Alpha-Scope id ever looked through.
Why ?
I asked Oliver and we worry about this Phänomen.
The ED80 has a specially ED-Glass and a visible grenn compensations layer.
The Telyt is an kitted Achro with only two Glass/air surfaces like an cromatic single lens and an very good Leitz violett compensations Layer.

Hera a Picture from this PST-Mod, there is no fixed Adapter.....like my first Mod and no front ERF.

sunny Greetings :D
Achim
