10 improvements to my solar telescope set up

Post by danpro1 »

Hi guys,

This is a video on small improvements that I have made to my solar telescope setup. It includes simple motorized focussing, more cameras, better white light filter setup, etc. My apologies if the sound level is low; it tested fine before I started to record :-(

Really nice setup, beautifully done. Thanks for sharing. Got some ideas from it I think.

That's a great video and setup Daniel.
Specially liked:
- the 90° gearboxes for the motor focus. Never would have come with that idea.
- that you can handle 3 cameras in parallel. Your laptop / USB is very good
Can you also record in parallel or does that slow framerates?

Maybe an 11 th improvement. Get or build an SSSM. (And with the plugin I made for FC you should be able to control all 3 telescopes at the same time from 1 device)

Regards,

Paul
