The Sun on May 5 2018 as seen with 280mm aperture.
This morning was a calm with good seeing. I caprtured the sun in CaK and H-a.
The image in CaK was taken first when the seeing didn't start to degrade with the sun going higher in the sky.

Excellent resolution, Valery. AR2708 is so tiny....

Re: The Sun on May 5 2018 as seen with 280mm aperture.
Yes, Franco, the resolution here at 393nm is about as a 465mm telescope has at H-a 656nm.
A par with 300mm telescope at 430nm G-band.
As soon as my SCT has obtained a corrective optics for 393nm, the images at this wave length became much better and often have a diffraction limited resolution.

Are you using the SAFIX with the CaK shots Valery?

This time I didn't use the SAFIX. Another corrective lens has been used.

You can see it here: https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/6181 ... try8578847
Unfortunately the seeing was not good at all.
