Sun today 110418
Hello all: I was out this morning trying first high res but seeing would not allow it. I then took out the old trustworthy SM90DS and the PG Flea 3 3.2 MP and was able to get something. I got the Firecapture software to work with the SSM for the first time and it was a pleasure seeing it working in automatic.
I am still looking through the data to see what else came out...
Clear skies,
Franco

Very good results with the poor seeing limiting your efforts

Hi Franco,
Very nice images. Now we know why it is called Solar Minimum
but reading some news it looks like it will not last that long as it did before this Solar cycle. Hopefully it is true ... but the Sun always has surprises

A very nice session in spite of seeing.
Where can I find some info on how to use the SSM in automatic with FireCapture?
Best wishes,
Eric.

Thank you, Eric. I will email you separately the instruction manual for the SSM Firecapture plugin installation and operation. Mark Townley is the one who pointed me to it. It is now my preferred combination capture and SSM control software. It works beautifully for me.

Franco:
Thank you very much.
Probably will have to change to my other cameras, I don´t know if FireCapture does control the SKYnyx 2-2.
Best regards,
Eric.

Hi Eric...
I don't see the Lumenera cameras listed on the Firecapture support list. I still have several Lumenera cameras and wind up using Lucam to control them, but Heiko isn't doing any updates that I am aware of.

I haven´t heard of Heiko since long, so I use the old Lucam for my 2 Lumeneras and 5 TIS.
It is a nice and easy software.
For the ZWO174 and QHY I use FireCapture.
Regards,
Eric.
