Re: Full disk 26-12-2020
I can see now why I could not see some of the filaments on the disc today visually. They are pretty tenuous. And they are not that many of them. Nice images Rainer.

Re: Full disk 26-12-2020
Hi Franco,
Yes, looks like it but I need to set it via Custom Tracking and I have got some experience in the values from past tests. Interesting is also that at the moment it is not drifting in Declination. In 2 hours the Sun drifts in declination by about 16.2" and that is at my setup equal to 16.2 pixels

Re: Full disk 26-12-2020
Hi Rainer,
I saw the full disk image in its full resolution. Awesome!! Did you use a software aid to do the mosaic? It is seamless!
I have the same comment as Franco on the excellent tracking. Which mount did you use?
Thanks.
Alfred

Re: Full disk 26-12-2020
Hi Alfred,
I use Photoshop 2021.
The mount brand is iOptron but they are not that good as you think and I have been fighting with the producer for two years and now they just let me standing in the Rain. I bought two CEM 120EC2 and I trusted them that they would give assistance in case of problems but no, absolutely Sh...t support They have a terrible periodic error and SDE problem = Sub Divisional Encoder problem.
I have given up and I do not recommend iOptron brand at all. I am thinking in eventually buy next year two AP 1100GTO. The mistake did cost me US $ 15,000.00 including shipping taxes, etc. Never ever again iOptron. I know a member of this forum has a CEM 120 but it is not an encoder version.
My other mount at 530 mm focal length you can see SDE oscillation, In the video below you can se it.¡ AWFUL !
https://rainerehlert.com/increible/CEM1 ... 24x768.mp4
The only thing I know is thay they are consistently inconsistent.
They are now absolutely useless for what I bought them and that is imaging Galaxies at 3200 mm focal length. I am a fan of the Arp Galaxies but had to give it up.
And they stopped analyzing the problems and have not released any functional firmware anymore since November 2019 ! They just left all CEM 120EC2 customer alone with no solution ...
Look at the attached screenshot from right now. Periodic erros of more then +-4" arcsec ¡ AWFUL ! worm rotation is ~240 seconds. Disabling the encoder the worm has a periodic error of more then +- 40" arsec so they install bad quality worms in encoders mounts and try to cover it up with the encoder function. iOptron is cheating customers. I send them the proof and they told me " Look at the Specs in Internet " yes, but that is with encoders on and not off. They never ever replied again. ¡ iOptron is a fraudulent company !

A nice bit activity going showing on the side of AR2795 in that animation. Well captured!
Sorry to hear about the mount trouble. That doesn't look all that impressive indeed; not exactly what one would expect at that price point.
