Excellent resolution Paul. Is your imaging rig detailed anywhere on-line?
Thanks,
David

Hello Paul,

These are magnificent images, Thank you for sharing them. I am strictly visual only. I would be grateful if you could offer some advice. If I wanted to see this level of detail what gear would I need to purchase?

Thank you

John

Strictly visual , you won’t see this level of detail with almost any equipment.

hello John,
visually it is extremely rare to see the movements, but yesterday I was able to see it with the computer screen because it was very fast, look at my work on this link (sorry in French, I do not master the all your language)

Good morning

Thank you all for your replies. I will be looking to upgrade later in the year and thought I might be able to make a quantum leap to the level of Paul’s images but in visual.

I will continue to admire all your fantastic images on this chat.

I currently have a Lunt 50 with a DS arriving soon. I am looking forward to the enhanced views with the DS. My worry is that I have been bitten by the ‘Solar Bug’ and will have to go down the Aperture rabbit hole.

I have considered a Lunt 60 but do not think it will satisfy me, so it’s probably going to be a Lunt 80. I would value anyone’s thoughts

Clear skies

John

I think that for you the best solution would be the modification lunt50 towards achro 120 or 150mm + D-erf
I saw this modification at a rally, it is very good.
this allows you to keep lunt 50 when seeing is average and go from a few minutes to really more impressive when seeing is good.
