I nearly forgot this little fella I spotted today ... a new one on me.

Turns out its a"Scorpion Fly" or Panorpa communis ... :P

Interesting! I never heard of these and had to look up a bit about them. At least they are apparently non-venomous. We just have the normal kind (of scorpions, that is) around here (SW USA).

Wow! I've never seen one before either, but then I have never looked for them either :)
