Three years of Saturn 2021-23

Post by H-Alpha »

Hi all,

Hope you are all well.
I have not made some good solar photos to show the last months, but thought good to share a very recent (one week ago) of Saturn, together with some older ones from the last two years, in order to show the change in the angle of the planet.

I had to reprocess the older ones to look somewhat decent and comparable to the recent one that is one of my best so far (although I have never succeeded to have a descent seeing with Saturn so far).

The one of 2021 was made with the Chilescope (Atacama Desert, Chile). I have never been there, but by that time this was an incredible experience for me to be able to see the sky from Greece through a large telescope (1 m) found in Chile! Unfortunately the seeing was not good enough that night either. By that time I did not have my beloved C14 Edge (used for the photos of 2022 and 2023).

Alexandros,

Those are terrific images - great detail and color! I haven't tried Saturn yet this year, but am looking forward to it.
