12.5.24: Something is coming around the corner - interesting Ca-k prom

Post by Dennis »

Hi,

catched this today in the morning at the west limb, sadly seeing was not very cooperative. The prominence was extremely bright for calcium k terms.
Seems to be the next active area preparing for stage.

Nice Weekend and Cs
Dennis

Now that gave me an unexpected reaction.
Probably the best calcium image I have ever seen and up there regardless of band.

Thanks for that,
Fraser

You mean east limb, right? I noticed a big outburst there on the SOHO LASKOC2 images this morning!

That’s a superb Calcium image, Dennis.

This explains the east-west paradox:

The typical diagonal flips east and west too. North and south are correct.
