Sol'Ex for SALE (NOT FOR SALE ANYMORE)

Hi,

Anybody interested in buying a Sol'Ex ?

Fully motorized in 3 axis, Camera focusing, Telescope focusing and Grating rotator. Includes ASI 178MM as well as custom made cooler and telescope 60mm Ø f/4. Detachable sun shade.

UV/IR filter, UV filter, 2x 0.9X ND filter and 1X 0.6 ND filter (all 46mm thread and 41mm clear aperture) and comes with some aperture stops. Upond request I can print a few (3-4x) additional aperture stops of the diameter you wish.

Asking US $ 2.250,00 excluding shipping which depends to which country. Shipping only via UPS, DHL or FedEx courier due to the very bad service of the Mexican Post Service.

Telescope focuser is a ZWO EAF. Camera focuser and Grating rotator motors (Faulhaber with reduction gears) are custom made and I would give you the software for driving them. Software runs on latest Windows 10 64bit platform.

It has a short 3D printed Losmandy dovetail plate (90° rotated for tandem set up) and a double square carbon fiber support with height adjuster. Additional stiffening bracket between slit holder and telescope.

Aww Man. You were starting to get good images too. I wish I had enough money to buy it. Or a tak Too! A move and the loss of my job is imminent for me in the near future and I have to be really careful with money right now. It'll probably be this autumn that this takes place.

Good luck Rainer. I hope you are not getting out of solar imaging. You have some of the best images on here and at times they have helped my observing program immensely. If you could image everyday you could replace the GONG stations in our hemisphere. GONG CTIO and GONG BBSO!!
