Annular eclipse from Nevada, USA

Post by rbenton »

I struggled with the clouds and the altitude. I have a pressure tuned Ha etalon, and at an elevation of over 5,000 ft I could not get on-band. Nevertherless, after plenty of post processing I managed to get a couple frames I like.

Very nice! The moon must be very close to apogee with the lunar disc being that much smaller than the solar disc.

Very nice! At least you got the proms dialed in. I live at 7300", and have about a quarter turn left to spare on my Lunt pressure tuner.

Great 'ring of fire' capture :bow

Your image is the first I think that I have seen with the moon that close to being centered on the solar disk!
