Mineral moon and closeups

Post by cte »

A waxing mineral moon, imaged with the Mak 180 recorded with ASI 294 a little after the first quarter.
Seeing was good and moon was very high up in the sky so I pushed the focal at F30 with ASI 174 luminance filter. Here some closeups of famous craters and lunar formations not far from the terminator.

Oh my!!!! :bow :bow :hamster:

Pin sharp clarity, I bet you could see the lunar lander!!

The mineral Moon is exquisite, perfectly balanced colours and very beautiful indeed. I'd love to take an image like that :bow

Thank you Alexandra. I have seen that by splitting the rgb channels and performing the linear fitting routine with pixinsight by taking the green channel as a reference, generally removes residual dominants and makes the supersaturation process that I do with photoshop easier
